Childbirth Prep
This is a childbirth preparation class like no other.
WombWise honors the sacredness of pregnancy and empowers you with knowledge and the tools for a transformative birth experience. It is our passion to remove the fear and doubt while uncovering the confidence and grace within you to create a beautiful and meaningful birth for you, your partner, and your baby. This class is lead by a unique team of expert professionals including, Dr. Heather Akins, PT, DPT - a Pelvic Health Therapist and Brooke Cannoot, MS OTR, TPS, Doula with specialties in Therapeutic Pain Management and ancient knowledge, including yoga. This is a holistic childbirth class, preparing not just your body for birth but your mind, your heart, and your soul. This is a very special spiritual time in your life and we will guide you to fully embrace it with love, strength, and connection.

What You Will Experience
Circle Gathering & Sharing (30 minutes)
Each class begins with a nurturing space for connection, where you can share your experiences, thoughts, and questions with others who are expecting.
Experiential Learning (45 minutes)
Explore evidence-based practices for pregnancy, birth, and postnatal care. You’ll gain practical insights and tools to support you through every stage of your journey.

Yoga, Meditation & Energy Healing (45 minutes)
End each session with gentle yoga, calming meditation, and energy healing to alleviate discomfort, reduce stress, and help you connect deeply with your baby.

Q&A and Ongoing Support
We provide plenty of time for your questions, ensuring you leave each session with clarity and confidence.

Birth Partner Inclusion
Birth partners are welcome and encouraged to join—especially during the final three sessions—to help them feel prepared and connected to the birth experience.

PRIVATE CHILDBIRTH PREP


Pregnancy and birth are personal and unique. Together with Brooke and Heather, we will develop an individual birth preparation journey to meet your needs.
This is one on one experience is particularly powerful for those who are experiencing unique challenges and concerns including pelvic pain, pelvic health disorders, PTSD, anxiety, and/or depression. Or for those who have experienced pregnancy or infant loss.
These private sessions also provide an opportunity to develop a deep spiritual connection with your baby and your partner during this transformative moment in your life.
4 Individual Sessions
Our private childbirth prepartion is 4, 2 hour sessions with Brooke and Heather. We will share with you the same evidenced based information regarding birth that is part of our class format, but this allows a more personal experience.
During these sessions, Brooke will prepare you mentally, emotionally and spiritually for birth. She will develop a personalized plan to mange your nervous system throughout your pregnancy and develop personal techniques to manage pain during birth. She will reduce your fear and empower you to experience birth as a transformative spiritual journey.​
Heather will prepare you physically for the changes of pregnancy and for birth. Heather will focus on your strength and flexibility to reduce pregnancy physical discomforts as well as address pelvic health to prepare for delivery. She will explore personal labor and delivery movements and birth positions to effectively progress your labor and push effectively while protecting your pelvic floor. Knowledge is power.
